Prospective Students
Broadly, my research involves the study of sustainability and energy transitions, energy poverty, energy efficiency, buildings, and the adoption of technology. I also study energy and climate policy with respect to these topics. I am therefore most interested in supervising students with interests that intersect with any of the above.

I am always interested in talking with individuals who are very motivated to do graduate or post-doctoral research and who have strong analytical skills (either qualitative or quantitative).

Please note that I cannot provide a letter of acceptance to any programs at RRU – that is a separate process.

What's new?
New research publication led by Prof. Riva (McGill) "Energy poverty: an overlooked determinant of health and climate resilience in Canada", where we explore, for the first time in the Canadian context, the association between energy poverty and health.
